Goals & Philosophy
First
of all we believe that it is important to work as a team.
For that reason, whenever we start a new church plant, we would like to
enter with at least one other family if possible, preferably a family from the
host country, i.e. We
will be establishing indigenous, Bible believing churches in The
next phase in church planting is discipleship (II Timothy 2:2). When people come
to know Christ as their Savior, we begin to disciple them.
We will begin individually and eventually work them into small groups.
This does not mean that we quit evangelism, but rather teach the
nationals to win others to the Lord also. Those that are faithful in
discipleship and growing as believers will disciple some of the younger
believers in the mission church and begin their own small groups with the
purpose of reproducing others. Paul tells Timothy in II Timothy 2:2, "The
things that though hast heard of me among many
witnesses, the same commit to faithful men, who will be able to teach others
also." This is four generations of believers, and that is what we want to
reproduce in Our
goal is to establish one church every 6-12 years along with the churches that
are planted establishing a church every 6 to 12 years.
If this happens in 10 years, at the end of that time period, we will have
one church. In 20 years we will have 2 churches.
In 30 years, there will be 4 churches, and in 50 years we will have 16
churches established. This can only
happen if we teach the leadership to have a vision, and if they teach that
vision to others whom will pass it on to others, and so on. |
