Once every 6 years.  A president can only serve one term.

In Mexico, there are 3 major parties, PRD, PRI, and PAN.  The current President, President Vicente Fox, and President elect, Felipe Calderón, are from PAN.  Calderón defeated the losing liberal PRD candidate, Andrés Manuel Lopez Obrador, from the PRD, by a margin of 0.5%, or less than 250,000 votes.  The third candidate, Roberto Madrazo, of the PRI, lost with 22% of the vote.
