Ministry News
We’ve been in Texcoco for 6 1/2 years now, and it’s hard to believe that our time in Texcoco is winding down.  We only have one month left here. There have been several health issues in our church recently.  Rosa has diabetes, and went into a coma, although she has now recovered.  Rita just had surgery to have cancer removed from her liver, and the surgery was successful.  Juan was in the hospital for stomach problems, although he is ok now.  Another Juan was in a car accident with his wife, and the car went into a deep sewer ditch, so they are suffering from stomach problems, as you can imagine. As you probably already know, the church will be buying a property.  There is currently a problem holding up the sale.  The person who sold the property to the lady in our church, didn’t sign all the papers to finalize the sale.  So, before we buy the property, this man must first sign the correct paper.  One of the reasons that we believe he is dragging his feet on this is that he would have to pay about $1,000 pesos($80 US).  The church is going to pay this fee to encourage him to sign the papers.  There was a meeting scheduled for him to sign the paper last week, but he didn’t show up.  We also have a goal of raising $10,000 to help with the project. We are moving out of our current building which we are renting at the end of May.  A man in our church is loaning his lot to have church services while we get the papers to the property and build on it.  We have been going to this lot several times a week to help get it ready for the move.  We are doing this so that we can save rent money to put towards the building project.  Bryan has been getting a good workout by mixing cement by hand and using a sledge hammer.

On Mother’s Day, we’ll be having our annual Evangelistic Mother’s Day lunch along with family photos.  The goal for this is for people to bring their extended family to church for a lunch and family photos, that wouldn’t come under ordinary circumstances.

Finally, we have somebody with musical ability to play at church.  Luis, who was married in December, plays the guitar, and has volunteered to play for church!  Up until now, we’ve just used canned music.  The people are encouraged and seem to sing much better with live music.

Our trip back to the U.S. is coming soon.  We are packing up our house to put everything into storage.  We have bought our airline tickets, and will be flying back to the U.S. on June 1st to Indianapolis.  From there, we start off with the EBM conference in Michigan.  Our summer is getting booked up.  We don’t have any open dates until the end of August.  We are looking forward to seeing many of you soon!

Mexico News

The violence in Mexico isn’t getting any better.  It’s most likely getting worse.  We hear horrible stories of what is going on further north of here.  We feel safe here as  the major problems are further north, and we have God protecting us!

Family News

We are doing a little better health wise, although it seems like someone is always getting sick.

Josh and Caleb are finishing up 5th and 2nd grades.  Abby is looking forward to seeing her “new” Grandmas (since she doesn’t remember them, that’s what she calls them).  Aaron is talking more, and is trying so hard to be a “big kid” like his brothers and sister.

Thank you so much for your support of the ministry in Mexico! You are an important part of our team!
Thanks, Bryan, Susan, Josh, Caleb, Abby, and Aaron
