Ministry News
Dear Friends, Thank you so much for your faithfulness in prayers for our ministry. We really appreciate you. We’ve enjoyed getting to see many of you. It’s been such an encouragement when we go to a supporting church and hear that you pray for us often. We look forward to seeing many more of you in the coming months. We’ve been doing quite a bit of traveling on weekends. We will be in many more churches before we return to Mexico in June. This past week, Susan and I met with Fellowship International Mission to discuss our future with them as a mission agency. Then, on Sunday, we met with our home church leadership about FIM, and they are in agreement that we should stay with them. FIM is a doctrinally sound mission. They have a philosophy that is very similar to EBM(although their financial philosophy seems to be much more conservative, and they currently have no debt). The costs for FIM are much better than at EBM and some other missions that we looked into, and that has allowed us to stay much closer to 100% of our needed support. We currently only need an additional $300/month. They have been very helpful since we joined on a temporary basis this fall. We look forward to this relationship as we move forward. If you have any questions regarding FIM, please feel free to give us or them a call. As for EBM, we haven’t heard any recent news. The biggest thing now is that they are waiting for the property in Indianapolis to sell before they can settle with their creditors. Seminary classes are going well. Bryan is currently taking two classes, and will be only two classes short of his Masters in Ministry degree after this semester is done. This spring, Bryan plans on helping a church plant in New York City about once a month. When our schedule permits, he will be traveling with a group from the school to help out with surveys, special community projects and translating when necessary. Things in Texcoco seem to be going well. We talked to the Smith’s, and there is a team arriving on February 9th to help build the church building on the property that they purchased this summer. They are currently working on the foundation. They would like to finish the first floor while they have the group there, but they are still lacking some funds to complete it all. If you would like to contribute to the building project you can send money through our teammates mission. You can go to their website and select special project and type in “063597-Texcoco Building Fund.” You can also send checks to their mission. Their address is CAM International, 8625 La Prada Dr., Dallas, TX 75228. Please send us a note if you do. Thanks. Family News Susan’s pregnancy is going well, although she isn’t sleeping too well. Only 3 months to go! Bryan’s Achilles tendonitis still acts up every once in a while. It just seems like it won’t go away sometimes. It’s weird that it comes on really fast, and then it disappears just as fast. I guess I’m just getting old! We were able to spend time over the Christmas holidays with family. We went to Susan’s family for Christmas and we went to Bryan’s parents for New Year’s. Abby trusted in Christ as her Savior! She had never really understood it until recently. We praise God for this! The kids are enjoying the snow, although it has been a very warm winter so far. Just last week, we had 6 inches of snow, but it’s almost all gone now. The kids were able to get in some good sledding before it melted. A printable version can be downloaded here Praises
