Ministry News

Dear Friends,

God is good.   We thank him for his numerous blessings that he showers on us, and we praise Him especially as we get ready for Easter and celebrate Christ’s sacrifice for our sins and his victory over sin through His resurrection.

Our Sunday school is going well.  We are averaging around 25 people, and this past week, we had 32.  We held our first communion service in March and on Easter Sunday, we’ll be having our first baptismal service.  Very few of those who attend have been baptized, so we will be baptizing quite a few people.

Although we have done the Lord’s Supper and will be doing baptisms soon, we won’t be starting our official Sunday services until July.  Because we will be able to reach many new families during our summer kid’s programs we would like to use that to invite people to our first service.

We need to find a new place to meet in as the place that we are currently renting is very small, and we are already overcrowded.  We are looking into renting a bigger place near our current building for Sunday services so that the kids could still go over to our current ministry center for Sunday school class.

Our youth group is growing as well.  We now have 8-10 kids.  It’s great to see them develop a friendship.  The most faithful ones didn’t know each other six months ago, but now, they spend time together outside of youth group.

Recently, one family came for grief counseling.  A year ago, the daughter was murdered, and they are really struggling.  They aren’t saved yet, but we are trusting that God will save them and carry them through this difficult time.

Joanie, who we mentioned in our last update, still hasn’t come to our Sunday study, but continues to study with Susan during the week.  Last week she told Susan about her friend who is going through a difficult time, and she said that she was going to start teaching the Bible study lessons to her friend.

*If anyone is interested in a mission trip to help with basketball or soccer camps and VBS in July, let us know!  We could really use the help during those three weeks.  Last year we had 60+ kids each day, and there are very few of us to handle that many kids.  We plan on starting on July 21st through August 8th.

Family News

Both Bryan’s and Susan’s parents came for a visit this winter.  The kids really enjoyed spending time with their grandparents.  The kids have been working hard with their school and glad to have only one quarter of the school year left.
