Dear Faithful
Supporters,
Happy Holidays!
We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a merry
Christmas. We enjoyed our
Thanksgiving. We were able to
get together with some other missionary families, and had a big turkey
dinner.
The last month has
been especially busy for us. In
the beginning of November,
Bryan
’s grandfather passed away, and thanks to First Baptist Church of
Calvert County, MD, he was able to fly back to the States to attend the
funeral. Although it was a
sad time, we know that “Pa” is in heaven, and
Bryan
was able to see family that he hadn’t seen in years.
The week that
Bryan
returned from the States, a medical team from
Arkansas
set up a clinic in the
Cholula
Bible
Church
, which is only about 5 minutes from our house.
They needed translators, and people to share the gospel with the
patients. We both, along with
four others from our church, helped fill the needs in these two areas.
Over 700 patients were seen, and an estimated 40,000 pills of
medicine and vitamins were given out, but the most important result is the
souls that were saved. In the
clinic, more than 20 people trusted in Christ as their Savior, and the
church received another 15-20 names for follow up of people who were
interested. Five new families
have been going to that church since the medical team left.
There is still much more follow up to do!
We praise the Lord for His working!
The week after that,
Bryan
had the privilege of speaking at a youth camp about 3 hours away for a
church from
Acapulco
. The missionary who was
originally supposed to speak was sick, and asked
Bryan
to fill in for him. It was a
great time of ministry where many teens made decisions for sexual purity,
about 15 trusted in Christ as their Savior, and another 8-10 made
decisions to surrender their lives to Christ!
The evangelism
training course has also started. We
currently have three people taking the class and meet every Wednesday
night. It has really been an
encouragement to hear their testimonies of how they are using what they
are learning, especially one of the ladies named Mariel.
This class will finish in January and we are planning to begin it
again at the end of January for a new group.
So far
Bryan
hasn’t been able to do any tutoring in the universities where he has
applied. However, he just
found out that one university wants to use him next semester, and next
week he will be able to get into another university to tutor as final
exams begin and students cram. Pray
that the Lord will provide good contacts through this.
In family news, Josh
celebrated his fourth birthday this month.
It’s hard to believe he’s four!
Susan made him a Nemo cake.
Josh especially seemed to be having a somewhat difficult time
adjusting to
Puebla
, but now seems to be doing really well, which we are very thankful for.
Caleb is doing well. He
is growing fast, and has learned a few new words.
It’s hard to believe it’s even possible, but he seems to be
moving even faster than the last time we wrote!
We also have some exciting family news.
We will be having a new addition to our family sometime this coming
July!

Service,
