Ministry News
We are getting ready to start our return to the U.S. on October 23rd.
We will be driving up to San Antonio, TX on the first day, then onward
East towards Atlanta to visit some family there and North Carolina,
before we head up to Maryland where we have our first meeting on the
first Sunday in November. We are looking forward to the trip, but it’s
going to be a long one as we spend 50+ hours in the car. We still have
a few dates open, but our schedule will be very full. We will be in the
U.S. until mid-February when we return to Texcoco.
Things at church are going well. Our attendance has been in the mid
40’s consistently for a couple of months now. We have new people who
are excited about serving and have invited friends to church and helped
us to start new Bible studies.
As for music in the church, we don't have anyone who can play any
instruments, so a few weeks ago the church hired a man to give guitar
lessons at the church. We have 4 people who are taking the lessons with
the goal of eventually playing in our services.
On Saturday, we will be having an evangelistic youth Sports Marathon.
We will have tournaments in basketball, track, and indoor soccer. As of
now, we are expecting about 25 youth to attend. Two brothers are very
excited and have invited about 10 other guys to come. Most other people
have invited at least one person. |

Family News
As many of you already know, Abigail Marie was born on September 6th
at 10:40 p.m. She weighed 6.5 pounds, and was 19 ½ inches long. The
boys love their baby sister. Josh thinks she is very cute, but Caleb is
more fun to play with. She is healthy and seems to be growing. We now
just need to teach her to sleep through the night.
On another note, Susan’s cousin’s husband, Brian Blattel, has been in
the hospital for a week now. The doctors are not sure what is wrong
with him, but he is seriously ill, and in a lot of pain. We appreciate
your prayers for him. |
Mexico News
The protests over the Presidential elections are over, and Felipe
Calderón will be the new President of Mexico when he is inaugurated next
month. He was the best candidate, and we are glad that he won.
