Dear Faithful
Supporters,
Hello again!
We trust that this letter finds you all doing well.
This month has flown by here. We
have been so busy that we have hardly noticed the rainy season beginning or the
green grass that we now have in our front yard.
The volcano is especially beautiful and snow capped the morning after a
good rain.
We are busily
looking into our options for our future ministry.
Our three options are Texcoco, Colima, and
Cuernavaca
.
Mexico City
is no longer an option since the Mexican missionary has moved on to another
ministry. This past month, we have
taken trips to Texcoco and Colima, both of which are possibilities for future
ministry. Texcoco is a city right
outside of
Mexico City
. It has about 200,000 people and is
growing quickly, with an expanding population of commuters to the Capital.
Colima is also a city of around 200,000 people.
It is on the West coast near Guadalajara. We
had an exciting trip to Colima this past week.
Between being stopped by the police and breaking down on the highway in
the middle of nowhere, it was something. We
definitely could tell that people were praying for us!
Because of space, we will not go into all of the details here.
If you want to read about it, click here.
The school year
is winding down.
Bryan
has developed some good friendships with people from the universities. We
are praying that he will still be able to have contact with some of the students
and personnel throughout the summer, to continue sharing the gospel.
He has begun three Evangelistic Bible studies at one university.
Hopefully, we will be able to finish them with the school year
finishing.
Thanks also for
your prayers for Mario, who is going through marriage problems and wanted a
Bible study. Unfortunately, he has
moved out of
Puebla
, and I no longer have contact with him.
Our evangelism
classes are going well. We are
currently giving the class in our church and another local church.
It is exciting when we see some of the people taking what they learn and
sharing the gospel with others.
Bryan
will probably be giving the class in two other local churches here, as well as
returning to Colima in June or July to give it to the leaders of the church
there.
We had a very
good day on Mother’s day. That
Sunday, we were in Texcoco. After
the service, one lady (named Maria Elena) trusted in Christ as her Savior!
Then, when Susan told Josh what she had done, Josh responded, “I want
to ask Jesus to take away my sins, too.” So
on Mother’s day, Susan had the privilege of leading Josh to Christ!
What a thrill that was!
In other family
news, Susan is feeling much better. Thanks
for your prayers. She returned to
the States for three weeks in the beginning of April.
The doctors diagnosed her with Post Partum Thyroiditis, and an incomplete
D&C which was performed here in
Mexico
in January after her miscarriage. She had another D&C performed in the
U.S.
, and that has helped her tremendously.
Praises:
1.
The salvation of Maria Elena and Josh!
2.
The evangelism training courses that are being given.
3.
Safety in travel.
4.
Susan’s recovery from health problems.
Prayer Requests:
1.
Those taking the evangelism course to apply what they learn.
2.
Ministry in the universities…salvations, evangelistic
encounters, etc.
3.
New contacts to be made.
4.
New
churches to get into this fall when we go back to the States.
5.
Wisdom in the decision of our future ministry
Thank you so much your part in
our ministry. We couldn’t be here
without you!
